Well...we’ve set ourselves quite a pace!
Champagne (kindness of Cunard) on the balcony while we shoved off. Complete with chocolate covered strawberries & hors d’ouevres.
Then a lovely dinner, followed by stilton & vintage port - we got the bottle, such that we can continue to enjoy it!
This morning, up early (sun rose before 5am) showered, dressed and on the balcony by 5:30. Gina up & out by 6am.
Unfortunately, breakfast wasn’t until much later. So we made tea & enjoyed the mild temperatures on the balcony.
Then, up we went for breakfast, between 7 & 7:30...and it was locked up tight. So we took ourselves for a walk around the ship & back we went nearer to 8. Thankfully, not a port day, so we were able to pace ourselves accordingly. More walking. Some shopping - deck of cards & deodorant for me - I now know EXACTLY how long a travel size lasts: 23 days. Just. Then sitting on the balcony. Then lunch.
It is exhausting being us.
Then back to the balcony to read. Or nap.
Now the preparations begin for dinner. Hors d’ouevres have arrived. Wine is chilled. It is a Gala evening. So lots of tarting up required. We are planning a later arrival for dinner, such that we can go the second show of the “Beatles” live show in the theatre.
Guaranteed to keep us out past our bedtimes!
Tomorrow, Aomori & our first excursion!
